Hey guys! How is your spring break going? I hope it's fabulous and that your're all having a chance to relax and do lots of really fun things! All people seem to go through phases in their lives that are incredibly busy.  On the other hand, there are times that are not as busy.  I think these type of cycles are a part of life.  Right now, I am DEFINITELY in a busy time in my life.  Every day, before and after work, I feel like there are so many things I need to take care of! During ECM's spring vacation, I went home! I had a lot of fun and sang some life-changing songs at kareoke and saw lots of friends and family! But, on the day I was going to head back to Japan, I woke up sick.....REALLY sick.  I made it back to Japan, but was still not well for about a week.  During that time, I slept and worked ONLY! I didn't have the strength or energy to do anything else! Now, I'm finally feeling better and have even started working out again every day, but have lots of catch-up work to do! Before I came to Japan, I never thought that spring was an especially busy season, but now I'm starting to change my mind! Or.....maybe it's only in Japan! Looking forward to seeing you all for another great week!!

Hey guys! How was your weekend? I hope it was fabulous! I also hope you, your families, and all of your friends are OK after the massive eathrquake and tsunamis in the north.  I feel so lucky and blessed that Yamaguchi is realtively unaffected, but at the same time, I feel like the present situation in Japan is so surreal.  I can't believe that the images I see on the news are from the same country I'm living in now! Because humans cannot control natural forces, I feel that perhaps the most prudent course of action is for us to focus on rebuilding and to be proactive against future natural disadters.  The fact is that Japan exists on a fault line between 2 tectaunic plates, so earthquakes and tsunamis are an unavoidable part of life for those of us who live in this country.  However, I feel that loss of life and minimalization of damage are possible if we accept this as a reality, plan and build accordingly, and live with hearts wide open.  Looking forward to seeing you all for another great week!

Hey guys! How was your weekend? I hope it was fabulous! So, I don't know my blood type.  I think a lot of young people in the United States don't know their blood type.  In fact, I don't even know if my blood type is written somewhere in my medical history or not! Howeverm recently, I have become very curious about my blood type.  While living in the United States too, I always thought that if I had the chance I'd like to know my blood type, but since I almost never go to the doctor, I never really had the chance.  I decided though that I really want to know my blood type though, so this morning, I went to Kudamatsu Hospital.  I explained my situation to them and asked if they could tell me my blood type, but they said that they couldn't do that kind of thing there because they didn't have the neccessary technology.  They reccommended I go to Shunan Memorial Hospital and have my blood type tested there.  So, tomorrow morning, I am going to wake up really early and ride my bike to Shunan Memorial Hospital! I really excited! My mother is AB positive and my father is negative, so I am either A or B.  Personality-wise? Maybe B! Looking forward to seeing you all for another great week!
