Hi, everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a relaxing New Years. This year, I was able to go to the shrine for New Years, and it was an experience I will never forget! I prayed and got my fortune- something that isn't really done in America. In America, many people will have a party. It is tradition to give the person you love a kiss at midnight; but, if a person doesn't have a romantic partner, they will hug a friend or family member.
Personally, I really like the way New Years is celebrated in Japan. I think it's a very unique and beautiful way to welcome the new year.
Let's all do our best this year. I wish you all good health, fat wallets, and happiness! For those of you with exams coming up, I hope you will all make excellent scores. Take a break when you need to, and study hard- you can do it!
